Where in the world is China?

Today, we looked at the atlases and found out which continent China is in. On a map outline, we labeled all of the continents and China.

We then looked at China more closely. We wrote down as many geographical features as we could find, including, mountains, rivers, Tropic of Cancer.

Basketball 4

On Friday, we had our 4th basketball session with our coach, Matt.

This week, we were divided into 4 groups and played matches each each other.

Orange Group – Danny, Fletcher, Lottie, Freya, Lucy and Benjamin

Yellow Group – Owen, Bailey, Molly, Jessica, Korey and Misha

Green Group – Niamh, Lewis, Charlie, Harrison and Evie.

No bibs – Thomas, Caitlin, Cori, Gracie, Megan and Toby

Basketball – Session 3

During session 3 of basketball, we learned how to carry out a few more skills.

These included:

  • Bouncing the ball behind us – we did this by bouncing the ball to the side, stepping forward and then receive the ball with the other hand.
  • Bouncing the ball under our leg – to do this move, we had to have the ball in one hand,  step forward with the opposite foot and bounce the ball between our legs.
  • Bouncing the ball at different heights – we started off bouncing the ball while standing, then sat down and slowly lent back to lay on the floor, keeping control of the ball.

We played a game at the end of the session. Our overall winner was Megan and our runners up were Bailey, Harrison and Benjamin.

Maths and ICT

We had a great lesson in Maths today, because we got to play on the laptops. Well, play in this case, doesn’t mean play. We were using lots of different Maths Games based on Number.
