Maths and ICT
We had a great lesson in Maths today, because we got to play on the laptops. Well, play in this case, doesn’t mean play. We were using lots of different Maths Games based on Number.
Maths – How Many Numbers?
The children were given the following numbers and were asked to find as many 3 digit numbers as they could.
Most children found all combinations of numbers, some using a systematic way.
Here are some examples:
Greater than/less than/equal to
This term we have been looking at number. Today’s lesson was all about greater than, less than and equal to. We had to work out the answers to a number sentence and then choose the appropriate symbol.
Materials and their Properties – Venn Diagram
Today we sorted materials according to their properties and placed them into a Venn Diagram. We had to chose a suitable labels, cut out an item and glue it on to the correct place.
Materials in our classroom
Today, we have been finding objects in our classroom and identifying the material used to make them. We found lots of different materials including, wood, metal, plastic, glass and rubber.
We created a tally chart and bar chart to show our results.
